I’m not complaining about people talking about it, I’m complaining about how the response to it has mostly amounted to people trying to score political points by showing how loyal they are to their team’s position.
Their team of… anti-genocide?
“You’re just in favor of the rights and dignity of your fellow man because your TEAM is” is one hell of a take lol.
I wonder if they’d have said the same to abolitionists 200 years ago…
The team of calling it a genocide in the first place.
There have been plenty of statements from people in the Israeli government about wanting to “wipe out” Palestinians, but okay, let’s set that aside. What was it, 46% of the people Israel has killed have been children? So let’s call it the team of anti-killing children.
The people “trying to score points for their teams position” are the ones trying to downplay the atrocity that’s happening.
