So if I’m immersed in a story and a sound effect reminds me it’s a story, that’s a huge negative. Lighthearted and sillier things it doesn’t matter as much as I’m not invested in the same way.

I hear it and know what it is and am now thinking about the decisions that someone made during production rather than focusing on the story.
