One of the main reasons given for Russia invading Crimea in 2014 was to secure its largest warm water naval base, Sevastopol, after the ouster of their puppet Ukrainian president Yanacovich following Euromaiden. So even with all the russian effort since 2014, they STILL lose Sevastopol as a naval base.
