After Republican vice presidential pick J.D. Vance went viral last week for being extraordinarily awkward at a donut shop in Georgia, Democrat Tim Walz had to poke fun at him during a snack stop in Pennsylvania.

Pursuing sweets like whoopie pies and donuts at Cherry Hill Orchards in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Walz slid in a joke  while speaking to voters.

“Look at me, I have no problem picking out donuts.”

I have been dying to use this line in a donut shop for real but i know inside that if they picked up on what i was doing they’d ‘ok’ me too and i’d probably deserve it.

I don’t want to annoy peeps just tryina work, but… just… I really want to order a bakers dozen of ‘whatever makes sense’

I have picked up doughnuts for the office and other than the one I want, the rest are called “assorted doughnuts”. Guess I could try “whatever makes sense” next time, but it just doesn’t make sense to say that.

Yeah I’m probably not even original so it’ll remain an idle daydream where the employees get the joke and everyone claps

I imagine a scene where Vance opens up a donut box like the Pulp Fiction briefcase and there’s an eldrich horror inside.

            “This doesn’t make any sense…”
