“I know people saw a character that I played do some really extreme things on The Boys and I don’t care if you’re in costume, I don’t care if you’re in character – it’s not OK and it’s not funny to demand those things from me in person at my booth. It’s not OK.”

“Frankly, to the person who did that repeatedly today, I made it pretty clear that it wasn’t OK and that only seemed to make this person and their friend angry. I didn’t think this needed to be explained but I was deeply uncomfortable – it was quite clear I was uncomfortable.”

Homelander cosplayers, huh? Who would’ve thought about that…

Feels like this sort of behavior is the kind of thing that should get you instantly booted from the con, and have your badge revoked, and have you flagged to never be allowed to return to the con, and hell let’s just go ahead and give your information to all the other cons that keep such records so they know not to issue you a badge ever again, either. Cons are supposed to be safe and joyful places. If you violate that compact, there should be no compromise.

Should have some Soldier Boys and Butchers ready to go for times like that.

“Oi! You wanna do some in-character reenactment?”
