Zelenskyy knew he couldn’t just shut them down because of the power dynamics, but he also knew this wasn’t going to play well for Trump with the rest of the room. He didn’t back down and yet he didn’t take the bait to give them any real excuse to pull US support. They exposed their Russian puppet-strings for the world to see.
