Amazon has a plan to deploy 100,000 electric vans to its delivery fleet by 2030. At the rate it’s going, that might happen a little sooner. On Thursday, it announced that it now has 10,000 Rivian electric delivery vans in service—up from 5,000 earlier this July.

Ok…do they still have human rights violations galore focing employees to piss in jugs or be fired, fire everyone before probation ends to avoid benefits, over charging for pathetically bad garbage, promise shipping times then fail and give you the run around while refusing to cancel orders, treating employees like subcontractors to underpay and fuck them over?

Why would anyone care about the cars they use while they are a blantant bad company. Nothing they do is for the benefit of humanity.

This was intended to be less about Amazon and more about Rivian. This is an EV community, after all. Also, who said anything about the benefit of humanity?

Because caring about workers doesn’t mean I stop caring about the environment.

They piss in jugs because they want to. Not because it’s some slavery operation. Just like truck drivers (source: I’m a truck driver, some guys will whip their dick out and piss on their tires at a truck stop out in the open before walking inside and using the bathroom).

Anyone who wants to check one of these out. MKBHD has a whole video on them.

Anyone who’s seen TPB knows that piss jugs are the way of the road. I’m not a trucker but I’ve done long drives where I’m not gonna make it to a bathroom because I’m stuck in traffic and, well, you gotta do what you gotta do.

For sure. Covid times were the worst with even rest areas shutting down in some places.
