Whenever I try to share an image with the share button it’ll only share the link regardless of the share image setting. Dunno if this is a bug or not.

    This doesn’t sound like a bug to me. You can’t share actual files on lemmy, only links. When you share an image, the app automatically uploads the images to your lemmy instance which generates a link. The app then links that link in the post.

      When trying to share an image out of lemmy I have this setting enabled and it’s still sharing the link rather than the image.

        Ah I see. I found a bug where this will not work in the image viewer but will work when sharing from the overflow menu. I’ll fix this in the next update.
