It’s a power 5 and 4 spots, one team was missing out. The conference that won the championship the last few probably wasn’t getting snubbed. If Georgia won they probably kept Texas out.

Can’t say I’m a fan either, they get tons of favorable treatment.

I agree that that is probably what would have happened. But the 4 team playoff system, which is ending this year, was set up so the committee could consider things like strength of schedule and player injuries which both killed FSU.

The only fair outcome, if the committee was actually “fair”, would have been to leave out Michigan for FSU. I know they probably are the best team this year, that doesn’t excuse the cheating.

Sucks for Norvell and all the FSU players and fans

Keeping out Michigan for cheating is bold but was an option. That way I wouldn’t have to see them get destroyed by Alabama.

The only other real option after Alabama beat Georgia was to leave the SEC champ out in favor of an undefeated team that doesn’t have a healthy QB. It certainly would have been fair, but would have made for a boring first round game. But who knows, maybe they get healthy enough to carry that chip on their shoulders and mud hole Georgia, here’s hoping.

As to the UM/Bama game, if I had to have money on it I would probably put it on Saban. But, I really think Michigan is going to beat them by multiple scores. This Alabama team is the worst I’ve seen since they started their run.
