The plant can also finish at different rates, it’s not unheard of to cut off the canopy and letting the lowers go another week to get to the same point. So rigorous can help get the best.

I wasn’t a fan of the loupe either hard to focus and get a good idea, the microscopes are the way to go I find.

You have me nervous, I should cut off a sample to check, but she’s also barely got any coloured pistils as well.

You cut samples? I just awkwardly shove my scope in there lolol

I’ve noticed my top buds are more ripe than the bottoms, but my plants are so small that I prefer to hang the whole thing. Even if not all my buds are right on time. Otherwise they dry too fast, and that’s a waste of 16 weeks. In my opinion I might as well compost the whole harvest if it’s not going to dry right.

Man I tried everything, everything a microphone stand to hold the damn thing and shove it in there haha.

Yeah I’m not a fan of the concept either, would basically need to wet trim and would want to fridge dry at that point so adding more money and stuff haha.

Where I live is drier than it has any right to be, but I think I’m getting close to getting it dialed in. Last grow the smaller stems weren’t leaving tails, but the thicker ones were. They all seem to settle around 58%, but that likely means the smaller stems were overdried. There is some merit behind keeping the plant as symmetrical as possible for the “best of the best of the best”

A cedar lined curing fridge would be so tasty though 🤔 damn it now I want one 😂

In my experience if the smaller buds are overdried they usually even out in the jar with the wetter buds, which is nice. That’s part of the reason I manifold, is to keep my plants nice and symmetrical. It’s good stuff!

They do even out, but the enzymes that do the curing would still be dead, so those buds wouldn’t gain the benefits of a proper cure.

It does have its benefits though, with my dry herb vape I prefer it on the drier side, but for joints or a bowl, prefer fresh.

So if it makes the smoke tolerant again that’s all that matters. Just smoke more to get a similar affect haha.
