    Did anyone read the article? The Uk never actually considered this they believe it was proposed by Abramovich himself or Israel

    Sounds like everyone involved is desperate not to release that money. Maybe it’ll happen once there’s a resolution to the conflict since one of the issues seems to be Abramovich not wishing to come across as pro- Ukraine in Russia.

    Also, the article mentions his parents and family were from Lithuania? I thought he had a Russian father and a Ukrainian mother?

    LOL nobody is getting this money but abramovich. when they lift sanctions in a few years the money will still be there guaranteed.

    Even ignoring the morality of this, it makes far more sense to send it to Ukraine since they are suffering under the government who Abramovich made his money doing business with.

    To the place where he bought a passport to back in the day. Just a way to get the money back to him so once relations with Russia normalise in a year or two the UK can get better trade agreements.
