Controversial opinion but yes, the stochastic violence he invokes has provoked a direct and proportionate response that is morally justified.

Furthermore, people who identify with the dumper are disincentivized from pulling similar stunts. It’s a good thing for society when those willing to commit actual violence with hate, trashing the words mmiwg, such as this man, it’s a good thing that they now know there is physical danger or danger to their property that comes with their hate acts.

Personally I would have preferred one step back - dumping soil on the public property surrounding his home in a way that it requires him to shovel the sidewalk before he can drive out. He dumped soil on a public spot iiuc, so the response should have been the same, whereas his front steps would count as his own private property.

But otherwise agree, the response was in kind and proportional.

Totally agree. The social credit system we have created is doing amazing things to weed out people that do not conform to todays society. Thankfully we are starting to see this occur on a far greater scale

He used violence against the protesters. He’s lucky they are answering with vandalism and not violence against his person.

Something is off here actually. The police showed up when soil got dumped on his front steps, but they didn’t bother to investigate the soil dumping of the memorial.

Okay, so someone’s private home (or even the public space immediately adjacent to a private home) is different from a more public place like a landfill. Even so, bad optics for the provincial gov’t … again …

Why does our society have this idea that even a scumbag’s home is sacred? Fuck around, find out.

Who’s to say it’s related? Someone who is that big of a turd-blossom is sure to have pissed off all sorts of people.

The MMIW painted on the sidewalk… draws a pretty straight line to the protest at the dump. I can confidently say it is related.
