Thousands of purveyors of neo-Nazi tunes just had their day ruined by a crew of enterprising Scandinavian anti-fascists.

One can hope that the store operators will also be heavily fined for their apparent failure to protect their customers’ information from infosec threats. Show them teeth, GDPR.

I wonder, is there some kind of a database to know if a music artist has fascist views or is affiliated with such groups?

For those who do not read the articles, in the store they sold more than music, they are not neo-nazis but probable neo-nazis or former neo-nazis. It’s not just the names either, it’s also their phone numbers, addresses, and social security numbers.

Screwing neo-nazis can be fun, until some of the innocent ones get harassed and their lives ruined, or when anyone on the list ends up tortured and/or killed.

ahh yes because torturing and murdering Neonazis happens so regularly. Except it doesnt. It is the Nazis who commit violent atrocities against minorities. The Nazis arent a persecuted minority.

If someone on that list has denounced his former ways he can do so publicly too. Although that actually gets them in danger, but not from the left but their former Neonazi friends. They love to threaten and attack people they consider as traitors.

Are they known for conducting anti-fascist hack-and-leak operations?

That seems a little outside their core business, but you never know I guess.

Why should Sabaton have anything to do with this operation? Or do you want to know if this store also had music by Sabaton in their catalouge?

No. If you know Sabaton, they are a Swedish band and are fiercely anti fascist.

I was thinking maybe they financed this operation or something.

Ah okay, thanks for the clarification! I used to listen quite often to Sabaton and knew that they were anti fascist - but sadly a lot of people I know don’t like them or think they are at least far-right because of their war theme
