About as surprising as BG3 winning game of the year. Call of Duty just endlessly prints money. Even when they underperform they make bank.
It makes sense, especially with US culture. Its the monster energy of video games.
They have people on the hook for sure. I honestly think a lot of it comes from the fact that progression carries over for the people who have sunk a lot of time into it recently as well as bringing back older maps from the CoD’s I used to play and getting older players back in. I, for one am not buying any of it. I’m just kind of worn out by the whole franchise in general.
A $70 DLC (it was literally supposed to be DLC) is a best seller. That’s where the industry is now. Cool, cool, cool.

Maybe we are just tired of the same fucking game over and over and over.

You’re right, I did not. I don’t like throwing money at the same product each year. You’re also right, there are plenty of people spending money. People also pre order everything that comes out, giving studios cart blanche to release unfinished games.
You’re all the reason the gaming world is so homogenous and unimaginative. Why create anything new, right?

Yes, I’m not playing them because they are the same game every year.
Stating facts is hating? I play CoD myself, I just disagree with the pricing of MW3 for what it is.

I did buy it, to play with my friends. That’s where they get you, if you don’t have the latest version, shitty or not, you get left out of the new game modes. I’m still upset it cost me that much for this warmed over turd.
Fucking embarrassing
MW2 and MW3 were the first CoDs I played since Black Ops 2. I never appreciated just how good these games were. Feels a bit reminiscent of old school fast paced shooters, just… modern. And different.
Well, MW3 feels like it, while MW2 has a bad rhythm problem with the movement.
I usually play grandpa games. Rather play the Sims, Crusader Kings, Alan Wake, etc. I found it easy to do well in MW3. People mainly operate on reflexes so if you’ve been playing games for decades then you’ll also find it easy to do well, assuming you’ve been paying attention all these years.
Aside from the price, MW3 is a great entry. Worth checking out if you’re willing to expend a tiny morsel of effort.
Haven’t played cod since black ops 2. Unlikely to ever play it again.
Unless it gets very real and they do world war 1 and 2 or something. Not interested in being teabagged by a bunch of teens on multiplayer
