Recent polls show former President Trump leading President Biden in key swing states that will likely decide the 2024 election, indicating Trump is not just the overwhelming favorite to secure the …
What’re the odds that the IDF is using the ol’ “Any military-age male near a terrorist is a terrorist” accounting trick the US uses (used? I think we still use it) to drop our collateral damage rate from drone strikes from the 15% it actually is, to an incredibly improbable claimed 0.2%?
Point is even the most biased source in their favor still says majority of who israel is killing are civilians. That ratio only goes up from there with other sources.
Subsidizing their genocide, for one. But that, unfortunately, is a widely popular position both amongst US politicians and the general population, and is unlikely to change in the near-future regardless of who is in office.
First, when we speak of genocide, generally it is with reference to the victim of the genocide. Using the Holocaust as an example, do you refer to this as the Nazi genocide or the Jewish genocide?
Second, we are not funding a genocide against the Palestinians. Israel is fighting Hamas, not the Palestinians. The Palestinians are unfortunate pawns being used by Hamas to shield themselves from Israel. This is an over simplification of the situation, but I don’t think it is fair to say we are funding a genocide against the Palestinians via the Israelis.
Not sure how that would be confusing. If you don’t know what I mean by tripped over themselves, I mean how some Republicans in congress enthusiastically tried to outdo each other in declaring how much they support Israel.
That’s just plain incorrect. Republicans funded Israel for decades, in case you forgot. One, I know you’re eager to blame Biden, but nobody is condoning was Israel is doing to civilians except some extremist republicans like Lindset Graham. Also, Congress allocates funds, not the President. The Republicans held up a bill to do so, but only because they wanted to use it to negotiate about the southern US border.
Condoning the war? Let’s see what Republicans are saying.
DeSantis, a distant runner-up to Trump in national polling, said Israel should use “overwhelming force” so that “Hamas terrorist infrastructure and networks are eradicated from the Earth.”
Lindsey Graham:
Appearing on Fox News on Tuesday night, Graham asserted that “we are in a religious war here, I am with Israel. Whatever the hell you have to do to defend yourselves; level the place.”
US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has sought to justify Israel’s targeting of Palestinian civilians in Gaza, saying, “Did the American public worry about how many people were dying to destroy Tokyo and Berlin?”
Haley made it her mission while she was Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations to staunchly defend Israel. She said the U.S. must stand with Israel as they “finish” Hamas.
Israel should gain full administrative authority over Gaza, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson said in an interview with WPR’s “Central Time,” with Arab states absorbing more Palestinian refugees. “I think at some point in time, Israel is just going to have to basically dictate and have jurisdiction over these lands, if they ever expect to have peace,” the Republican senator said.
Pence:
In an interview with Fox News, the former vice president said Israel has “no choice but to crush Hamas.”
“We will stand with Israel when this ground assault begins, and we will stand with Israel every day through the hard fighting and loss that will occur until they achieve an outright victory,” Pence said.
Christie:
“Under my presidency, America will restore the deterrence Biden has foolishly given away,” he said.
In an interview, Christie blasted Trump for praising Hezbollah. “Only a fool would give comments that could give aid and comfort to Israel’s adversary in this situation,” Christie said.
Tim Scott:
“Americans should stand shoulder-to-shoulder, back-to-back, with no daylight with Israel,” Scott said of the Israel-Hamas war.
South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott likewise slammed Ramaswamy for, at one point, saying he hoped the U.S. could eventually reduce aid to Israel.
Republican senators want to withhold taxpayer funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East until the State Department can prove the organization is not connected with Hamas or extremist activity against Israel.
I’ve heard Biden say Israel still has his support but needs to chill the fuck out. I haven’t heard anything near as strong from any Republican. So, even if you’re voting JUST on the Palestine issue, Biden is still marginally better than anyone else running with a chance to win. I really don’t see how this is so hard for people to understand.

“Yes, now that the Democrats are out of office, surely America’s stance on Israel will change for the better!”
First we beat the republicans. Then we beat the democrats. Then something happens because it’ll take a hundred years and I’ll be dead by then.
Yeah. Yeah, that’s about the point I’m at.
Better bitterness than defeatism, though.
Did you think Democrats would support the terrorists? Strange take.

All those terrorist babies and terrorist hospital patients and terrorist foreign journalists
Why are you calling Palestinians terrorists? Hamas are the terrorists.
You seem to have missed their sarcasm.
The idea of ANY baby being a terrorist, for one thing.
It’s a somewhat sarcastic way to point out that babies, hospital patients and foreign journalists are not terrorists.
Palestinians are who Israel is killing. https://www.timesofisrael.com/idf-officials-2-civilian-deaths-for-every-1-hamas-fighter-killed-in-gaza/

Both sides have been killing. Both sides wanted war.
I agree. What exactly is Biden doing wrong with Israel?
Subsidizing their genocide, for one. But that, unfortunately, is a widely popular position both amongst US politicians and the general population, and is unlikely to change in the near-future regardless of who is in office.
Can you explain how he is subsidizing the Israeli’s genocide? I don’t quite understand.
Do you…really not know about the billions we’ve been giving to Israel for decades?
Yes I’m well aware of that. I’m asking whose genocide we are subsidizing. It’s clearly not the Israeli’s since we are giving money to them.
We’re giving Israel the money and weapons to perpetrate a genocide on Palestinians.
Ok so a couple of things.
Hamas attacked Israel, murdered thousands of innocent people, they raped grandmother’s and children. That is what your supporting. That’s fucked up.
These bullshit “If you’re not for Israel, you have to be for Hamas” takes really have to stop
Where the fuck did I say I supported Hamas?
Nearly 1% of the population of Gaza is fucking dead, man. In the course of under three months.
Republicans have tripped over themselves to express the biggest support for Israel too, and have enthusiastically funded them all along. So, what?

So far there’s only one condoning, funding, and providing arms for genocide.

Lindsey Graham:
Pence:
Christie:
Tim Scott:
If Reagan could stop it with a phone call, so could Biden. AND he opted to go around Congress to keep providing additional wespins

I can think of maybe 5 Republicans out of 200 that aren’t awful. It’s a pretty safe bet. If they weren’t “bad” they wouldn’t be Republicans.

The 18.7 number doesnt even count the ones still buried under the rubble created by US weapons
They dont care about body counts, only the blue shade of fascism thats doing it.
Well, it’s better to have a genocide over there than have a genocide over here. Not in my backyard.
Don’t worry, trump is working on one.
