I have hundreds of eBooks that I abandoned after reading just a few pages, but still keeping them “just in case”.
I accidentally dropped the red pill. And took 17 blue pills…
The red pill probably rolled under something, we should probably take another blue pill to make sure we start the project of looking for the red pill
Funny enough, I had a dream last night where I couldn’t remember what ibd tablets I’d taken so when I woke this morning I wasn’t going to take them at all because I couldn’t remember how many I’d taken. Took me a while to realise that a dream did not mean I hadn’t taken them.
You really finish your projects?
Sometimes
But usually after I’ve already started the next one
In general I’m typically putting off 2+ projects at a time while barely finishing others
Edit: And yes, that “+” is doing a lot of heavy lifting
Literally me rn… I was finishing up (and am still working on) a new keyboard and I got a sudden inspiration and I’m now designing a 2nd keyboard while still finishing up the first.
Finish your current project
“What project?” I say, as I start a third project after getting bored with the second project and completely forgetting that the first project ever existed.
Hold on, lemme get the dopamine from a new project so i can finish the old one.
It’s like credit card churning but for brain chemicals
I need to take those with food. I’ll remember to take them later.
Still trying to figure out how anyone in history has been capable of finishing something they start

I’ve 4 books I want to read/re read. At least 3 video games I want to finish and at least 4 shows/movies/anime I want to catch up or finish. I wish I could get everything done that I want to by the end of the year.
Cut it down into smaller chunks. Just read a single chapter instead of the whole book. Play one level or mission of the game. Savor the small victory of having finished something, then go do something else and come back later.
It takes a little discipline and practice, but after a while, it’s not so bad and you end up getting a lot more done than you think.
That’s not going to help when the problem is that I’ve so many things I plan to do. I’ve just finished a game (trails into reverie) that I’d been playing for a month next I’ll finish blue eye samurai as I’ve 3 episodes left and then I’ll read Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrel which I just bought. After those, I could move onto anything as those are my immediate interests.
Also I’ve read about 20-30 books this year, I’ve finished most games I’ve bought this year too (bear Alan wake 2 and Spiderman 2 literally back to back) and I don’t actually watch a lot of movies or shows apart from the odd blockbuster or popular show that’s streaming. The anime I only really watch is one piece and I started on that only about 5 years ago and that was a lot to get through. Im onto episodes from summer last year so not a huge amount compared to where I started at.
If my problem was procrastination then your advice which I’ve heard a dozen times would be helpful.
I struggle with that too but honestly, it gets a lot easier if you just cut down on the size of your projects, so having several of them at once isn’t overly ambitious.
That, and practice a little bit of discipline when task switching, i.e. always leave things in a state where you can easily pick them up again and remember where you were.
As I’m getting better at it, I find that there’s usually always something I can make progress on, even if it’s just a little before I stash it away again. But progress is progress, no matter how small, and it does end up adding up by the end of a week and then I don’t feel as useless and defeated as I used to.

Yes. Yes I did. I took both pills, ground them up to very manageable pieces, took a straw and just very disciplined snorted everything up.
And then I asked for more pills.
My man lol
Also breaking the projects down into smaller achievable goals is a great help
