    Gundam has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember (Read: OG “mobile Suit Gundam”). The last few have really resonated with me (iron blood, witch from mercury), I can see what Tomino is saying that the spirit of the franchise and the spirit of anime and animation should not be sacrificed for profit or for expediency, a little give and take is ok, but to completely disregard the rich history in chase of a “cult classic” or “blowout success” is a fool’s errand.

    I don’t think Japan has a leg to stand on in terms of creativity.

    I rather have a extended universe rather than 100 tv shows called “I got reincarnated into a anime girl’s left boob” BS or whatever fad will come next.
