It turned out that these implants had an unintended side effect - they caused the breasts to swell and grow larger and larger. (More info in the sidebar).

The growth was proportional to the amount implanted and Chelsea had a lot of material implanted.

Nobody knew there would be growth, and certainly nobody ever expected continual, unstoppable growth like Chelsea experienced.
