The map, and site it was taken from, is missing the date(s) of the Before and Current. It is sad to see the areas shrinking, but with no time scale we cannot tell how fast.

The Caspian tiger went extinct in 1970, for reference. Apparently in pre-modern times it went all the way across and connected with the Siberian tiger population.
