    Tldr:

    old movies no (there’s only ever one woman)

    new movies sometimes, barely

    This is exactly why I’m a Star Trek fan. There’s just no women in Star Wars just whiny male “heroes “.

      Star Trek gave organisations like The French Resistance their dues in the form of The Marquis. Star Wars erases them and just calls everyone “rebels” as if unfunded individual groups working in the grey area behind enemy lines are the same thing as large conventional millitary operations… That attitude of “all the good guys are called ‘the rebellion’” flattens things and lacks nuance.

      It erases something I’m not comfortable with being erased.

    …who cares.

    The only thing what matters is if the movie is good. You can have a movie who pass the Bechdel Test, but if it sucks. Does it matter the movie passes?
