It’s quite interesting their town PS4 that segway cop ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It just hit me. I think it’s “pays for.”
yes, thank you. theres a whole other conversation about why apple branded phone hears town ps4 before pays for
Why would someone use speech to text for a post like this without spell checking it afterwords? There is punctuation in it, did they say period and double quote?
You don’t?
It’s somehow hearing “station” inbetween pays and four? Or I guess more likely it’s somehow hearing “pays” as “ps”.
Pretty sure there’s actual laws in some places against “meter fairies” who would do this.
Back in the day people would see a meter maid and legit just feed all the meters in the direction they were walking.
https://www.wivb.com/news/national/meter-fairy-told-he-cant-feed-other-peoples-parking-meters/
thats basically what i did. ive seen town facebook group posts about this so my town is one of these, preserving the old ways types of places idklol
So…
They still likely wrote the ticket because you said you fed the meter…
And if the cop wanted to be a dick, he could have wrote you a ticket as well?
I didn’t realize you were the OP in the screenshot till now.
But if you really did that, it sounds like you didn’t understand you didn’t prevent that car from getting a ticket, because you admitted to feeding it.
well that’s why i also fed the meter next to it that he was going to go for. and i stocked up with 8 quarters from my change charge now for when i walk my dog next XD. let me try and provide some context, the city put street meters on all roadside parking, theoretically you can get a local driver decal, but in practice thats only for homeowners because its also a college town. the meter maids are ruthless, and the tickets have like massive amounts written big in bold on them like 40 60$ and then in little print says pay by the end of the day and its on … 10$! Plus the actual fees are paid to a company that has a contract with the town. They(the town) are paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to enforce parking fees and the locals hate it, but we’re a small minority, many of local do not hate it. it is the trenches of parking enforcement
