“Every worthwhile artist has their Moebius phase,” according to a theory.

I found the first pic in a blog, and the rest of the story in Heavy Metal magazine #267, from January 2014. Here she be:

I’d never heard of this Italian artist before, but am loving his art (and yes, he has his own style as well). There’s a bit more info on him over at Lambiek.

Great style and story, although I’m a little confused by the ending. What did she tell him and why does it show her leaving as the last panel?

He deserves to be left there, but I don’t think it was a very strong panel to end on, although it was very cool visually.

I was cracking up with the three panel spread of him shooting like an idiot after being frightened by the flower, hahaha.

    Thanks for sharing

Seems to me that she used her influence with the alien / plant to get him released, but as a penalty, he was converted to a strange ibis-type bird. Or something like that.

I was wondering about those blonde tufts.

That makes sense, thanks. He’ll do better as an ibis.

          Lol, truth.
Btw, note his pink headband in addition to the blond tufts.

Oh I noted it’s similarity to the vine ribbons holding him in captivity but hadn’t realized that was his bandana! Thanks
