I’ve got thick fingertips and so use swype extensively, which sometimes leads to mistakes which are still words so don’t look wrong at a glance. One feature I liked at The Other Place was that it didn’t mark a comment as edited if you edited it within a minute, so I got used to giving everything an extra pass right after submitting to fix any errors.
I don’t have that here, and am trying to train myself to go back over everything again before submitting, but repeat offenders like “of/if”, “your/you’re” and “to/too”, among other less frequent errors, slip through. Sometimes I leave it, usually I’ll fix it. I didn’t mind the “edited” mark too much, especially if the associated time is before anyone replies.
