ISPs comply with FCC rule after protesting requirement to list all fees.
I’m not an expert, but this seems really consumer friendly, and this should go a long way to promote competition in the marketplace. Then again, I’m not an expert.
Won’t help in communities where there’s literally only one provider, but it’s a start.
It will probably still help with comparing different plans. I think they should make different monthly rates illegal though. Like a price hike after half the contract is up. Just make it the same motnhly rate for the entire contract.

It’s a loyalty penalty. Instead of discounts you get fleeced harder.
How did it work until now? Are different prices for different speeds not a thing or am I misunderstanding what this bill is supposed to do?
Its not just the cost of the plan, its all the ancillary fees and taxes as well.

Yes, most of the modern countries have been showing price, speeds, and data caps for plans for a long time. US is just behind the times.
