They were tailing me in the left lane. Someone was in front of me. They passed on the right, but had to cut me off to avoid cars on the right that were going slow. Then they tailed the person in front of me. When the person in front of them moved to the right, they slammed on their brakes, got out of their car all puffed up, and started coming at me… instead of continuing on with no one in the left. Which makes no sense at all.

Oh, the roid-road-rage. So pathetic.

    What in god’s name happened?

Did you engage, drive away, drive over him, run away, shoot him, talk to him or maybe scream for help?

I had the same thing happen to me. It was an old white dude trying to enforce whatever law he thought I had violated. It took all the self restraint I had to not escalate the situation. I’m usually pretty calm, but the whole situation had me livid. I have since given it some thought as to why asshole drivers make me so angry.

        1. A 3,500 lbs with that kind of inertia is incredibly dangerous. Driving recklessly because you’re goofing around, proving a point, or because your time is so valuable that you put the lives of others in danger… is psychotic.
        2. It’s cowardly. Usually drivers don’t get out, so they are safe in their little isolated bubble picking a fight that any sane person has to just leave be.

That kind of behavior is right up there with guys who carry guns to prove how tough they are.

I wish our laws better weeded out these idiots.

They do weed them out, they just aren’t enforced!! :(

I’ve been encouraged to send the video to the highway patrol, so tomorrow I’ll pull all the videos and send one to them.

I’ll be uploading it tomorrow with some fun captions. I have a rear and front facing camera, so it catches how he was diving in the first few minutes up until he suddenly stopped and got out.

I was concerned looking at it for the first time. Maybe I would change my mind and feel less justified complaining… but no, it’s pretty clear.

I think you meant that. If they do weed any out, I’m not seeing it.

Very much. It’s saved my ass a few times over the years when someone hit me, claimed responsibility at the scene, but then flipped when the insurance got to me. “Here is the video” I say, and they say “okay, not your fault. Thanks”

Officer, I feared for my life when he approached my vehicle with hostile intent so I had to run him over to protect myself.

What a fantastic way to get someone to run you down while trying to flee because you have a weapon in your hand/ get shot.

Seattle is the same as every other major city, but Vancouver drivers are horrible because they’re used to big suburban lanes, no density of traffic or people, no buses, teams, light rail, pedestrians, bikers…they have historically been uniquely incongruous as their little suburb was so removed from Portland’s norms. WA is cool in my book but Vancouverites can jump in the Columbia.

Ahh jeep drivers, they are such caring considerate people. Idk what it is about owning a jeep but they seem to be always speeding 20 over and whipping in and out of traffic.

I like the one where the passenger lady had pepper spray, and when the belligerent stuck his head in the window she sprayed his eyes. He was quiet and they drove off.

While never an excuse for road rage.

If someone is able to pass you on the right. You’re driving in the wrong lane…

So many people camp out in the left lane it’s just nuts. Should be ticketed for that. It causes accidents and makes traffic worse

I have to say most people get this. I do hate when people think the passing lane is a cruising lane for the speed limit. It is for passing people then you get back over to the right. It also isn’t a drive as fast as you want lane. When people use the road properly, traffic flows so much smoother.

Washington Plate… So there were no turn signals then…?

Perhaps you or someone else used your signals and it frightened and confused him…?
