I let’s-say-bought Valley Of The Damned when Dragonforce was a running gag on chan boards, had a “yeah right” smirk through the first few tracks, and by “Black Winter Night” was on-board for whatever the hell they wanted to do.
The entire subgenre of power metal is shamelessly goofy in the best possible way. With the possible exception of My Chemical Romance, no other music better encapsulates that teenager’s-notebook-doodle energy.
That’s it - it’s just pure, unbridled goofy fun…
