In all seriousness, I never was into Mr. Beasts content, because I’m not a 12 year old. But what really made me despise the guy is when he was talking about how he wanted to watch One Piece but didn’t want to waste time watching 1000+ episodes, so he decided to stream himself doing it. Like what type of person are you that you can’t enjoy something unless you earn money from it. This “monetize everything” attitude is telling me he is a horrible person to be around. I bet if he’s out with friends (if a person like him can even have real friends) he saves all the bills to deduct the whole evening from taxes, because that’s essentially what you as a person are to him - business.

That’s not as bad as what I thought you were going to say – that he’d itemize everything and ask for his friends to send him the money for their part, lol

Yeah the dude always comes off entitled as hell. A few creators I follow have collabed with him and it’s always the same story: “He called me and asked for a two month project in two weeks, ofcourse I said yes he’s MrBeast.”

In a similar vein I’ve read about people bending backwards for Disney or Pixar, and them abusing their reputation to undercut the market.

Remember that the Key Point of misinformation is that it doesn’t have to be true, or demonstrably false, or easily proven one way or the other: It has to be First Out the Gate.

That’s to play into what you just said! To make as many people repeat it as quickly as possible so people like you will start to give it weight.

In all matters: Trust, but verify.
