    Apparently no one knows (or has shared) why he dropped out. It must have been pretty awful for him to risk his reputation like this. Damn.

      He was also the co-writer, and most (all?) of the investors only got involved because of his name/reputation.

      I feel for both parties. Something must have been pretty awful.

      Hopefully they are able to take the time to find a suitable replacement, though, I agree.

      Probably. But the article is clear that the loss of Phoenix as an actor is not the issue.
