    Not surprised. They’re not doing it out of some newfound sympathy for the plight of working folks, but because even they recognize that the chaos and instability Trump brings is bad for business.

      After weighing the tax breaks and deregulation, the vast majority of corporations still continuously donated to the Christian fascist party throughout the last decade of open fascism.

      Of course they don’t like the idea of having to bend the knee and kiss the ring of King fascist, or the risk of being destroyed because they’re arbitrary labelled too “woke” by a mentally ill cult, but the dramatically increased profit margins remain far too tempting for most.

        The pandemic kind of wallpapered over it, but at the time we were looking down the tubes at a recession and a trade war, and Trump had by that point gotten rid of most of the competent cabinet that kept him in check.

        If a 2008 crisis hit, it would have been bad.

        People tend to forget how badly he fucked up the pandemic response. Imagine his cronies instead of Bush and Obama’s people in '08. We’d be in a depression by now.

        don’t be a moron. it’s going to take DECADES just to fix the supreme court problem trump and the GOP are 100% responsible for. that’s ignoring literally all the other damage trump has done to american society, which will also take generations to fix, if you’re being generous

              A 3? He did give everyone some trump bucks. Honestly if he had given more to the people and promised more to the little guys instead of his rich pals, he might have won a second term on that alone. It wouldve been terrible, but people are fickle and stupid.

                  Thats very subjective, it wasnt just him, because im pretty sure biden has done worse with covid, trump barely dealt with it, but now biden has essentially made a it known that covid is over. No more mask, in fact lets ban them. Free covid tests? Nah 70 dollars now. Social distancing, no fuck you go back in the office.

                  These issues biden is facing while dealing with covid is the same issue trump had to deal with, corporate ass holes who want all the profits. People shit on trump because hes terrible, but to some degree his derangedness might have been a positive. Think of the alternative.

                  Hillary Rodam Clinton is one of the most paid off politician there ever was. The whole Clinton family is a disgrace to America. She and everyone else claims they wouldve done better, but i doubt Hilary actually would of. She comes off as the type that would’ve prolonged it even more if she ever did a shut down at all.

                If he didn’t kill the pandemic response group, and just sat back letting Fauci do his literal job…that giant orange turd could have done nothing but continued golfing and coasted into reelection.

                But because he’s a giant narcissistic megalomaniac whose paper-thin self-esteem was critically fractured when Obama hurt his fee-fees…he undid tons of Obama stuff out of spite and thought he and his people knew better than anyone else and highly politicized it.

      There was a schism between the murdoch camp and the Trump camp after they called Arizona “super early” for Biden in 2020 and Trump threw a fit. That’s when NewsMax and OAN kinda became his preferred, publicly at least, news platforms.

    Like the Liz Cheney endorsement, I feel like Harris’s campaign should ask them not to. There’s not a big contingent of pro-CEO voters, and that contingent is probably going to vote republican anyway, but there’s a lot who sense their interests are diametrically opposed to the CEOs who’ve spent billions lobbying congress.

      The donor class is willing to spend a lot of money to break those people and convince them that they’ll only ever get oligarchic bullshit or the blatant incompetence and violent bigotry of Republicans from their government

      I bet these donations were at least implicitly contingent on being publicly announced like this
