Landlords do not provide housing

ID: A Sophie Labelle 4 panel comic featuring Stephie in different poses, saying:

Landlords do not provide housing.

They buy and Hold more space than they need for themselves.

Then, they create a false scarcity and profit off of it.

What they’re doing is literally the opposite of providing housing.

Id argue they provide a catalyst - renting to those who can’t afford to buy yet, but allowing them to still have a place to live. They are needed - no one is going to buy straight out of high school or Uni.

Hes there thing though. They make soo much doing it that 1, people can’t afford to live due to high rent and 2, they have pushed the housing market beyond the reach of those who want to buy.

They can’t afford to buy because they’re paying rent. They’re eating off the plate of the working class, which is good because it upholds capitalism.
