Before transitioning, I didn't receive short pat hugs or shake hands; I got deep, long hugs.

    Not where I live, no. Me, and every man I know would move away from others’ path to allow both parties to pass comfortably. When someone is moving towards me, I never noticed women moving out of the path more than men.
