The iPhone came at the right time!
That is correct, there was a pre-established market that refused to advance (check the Sony Ericsson smartphones before the iPhone), same with the iPod. Once they got a product with market breaking features, it became a global phenomenon. I wonder what current markets are held down due to lack of imagination or greed.

I would say evs and renewables.
That is what Tesla did but quality didn’t hold up.
Evs need better build quality so badly!
Man, I’d settle for something that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg for a shit box with terrible range half the year when it goes under freezing temps…
EVERYONE.
I think it’s really interesting to compare old iPhone ads with current smartphone ads.
iPhone in 2008: You can check the weather, get directions, take photos.
Phone in 2024: If you point your phone at a sign, it’ll google stuff about what it sees on the sign. Also, your iPhone will literally leave your hand and fly its way to the Verizon store to replace itself with an iPhone 16 because that’s all we got.
Or, yea, with our magical AI you we help you lie to your loved ones, jeij!
I’m sure they’ll still continue to mimic other companies in the best way possible.
isn’t it enough that so many people use iPhones geez. company has so much money.
You either increase the profits or you go down the capitalism slide.
