I’m sure everyone knows what’s at stake already but just to quickly recap the following might happen when Trump takes office.

  • No more free and fair elections.
  • Trump may abuse his presidential immunity and order hits on his opponents
  • Weaponize the government against political opponents
  • Raise food prices and harm the economy
  • Create a humanitarian crisis by deporting so many people
  • His appointees such as Tulsi Gabbard may give our secrets to Russia.

And so much more

Yet it seems like top Democrats in office are hardly doing anything about this. I feel they have abandoned us and gave up. My list isn’t even everything that could happen yet with all those bad things I’m so frustrated they don’t realize what’s at stake. Please I really beg of you to contact anyone you can and urge them to realize what’s at stake here.

The high ranking dems don’t care about people, they’re rich people that are slightly less right-wing. That’s the only difference between them and the more “regular” Republicans. The stuff Trump is gonna push will most likely only hit the middle and lower class, which they’re not a part of. Therefore they don’t give a shit.

Nothing he can do without the House (controlled by Republicans), the Senate (blocked by filibuster), and the Judiciary (controlled by Republicans).

He could try assembling an emergency team and also pressure Republicans and tell them what’s at stake. They could hold a special meeting.

If the elections are free and fair currently then the public has spoken. What is it with this save us from ourselves. Im not one of those guys but if free and fair elections go there is only one way for the populace to bring them back and there is absolutely nothing that can be done now that can’t be reversed in two months.

they can destroy records. Loan records, secret documents that Russia would want. Records of covert agents. And they could lease out bases, satellites, ships–anything NATO needs-- to allies and remove our control to take it back for 4 years. There are things that can be done, but the neolib dem leadership wont do them because they dont want to. They could also state flatly that whats being done in Israel is genocide, and once stated there is no going back to pretending the government is ignorant about it.

Yet it seems like top Democrats in office are hardly doing anything about this. I feel they have abandoned us and gave up.

That’s because they have. For Democrats, winning elections is more of an unintended side effect to campaigning, raising funds, and making connections.

If Democrats hold the reins of power, they’ll be expected to do something with that power. Their rich donors don’t want Democrats to do what the voters elected them to do, so they invent BS reasons for why they won’t do it.

“Oh we may have a majority in the house and senate, but we don’t have a super majority. Sorry, we can’t do anything.”

“Oh that thing we said we were going to do? Whoops! Turns out an unelected parlamentarian that we’re the boss of says we can’t do the thing you wanted. Sorry.”

“Oh, executive orders are a thing? Well, we think it would be more respectful to the tradition of democracy if we had bipartisan support rather than just doing things unilaterally. Sorry.”

Democrats much prefer to be the minority party. That way they don’t actually have to do anything and can still fundraise and curry favor with elites.
