Love this trade for the Nuggets. I’ve heard from some of the pods I listen to that there’s good amount of depth in that area of the draft for prospects that are more ready for the NBA. Good chance for them to snag some cost controlled bench pieces. Very good for the Pacers too because they had too many draft picks this year.

I am just so enamored with what the nuggets are doing, in an era where the dominance of attractive costal cities and super teams seems inevitable you gotta appreciate when teams like Denver or Milwaukee win it with home grown stars

So they’re getting the 29th and 32nd this year for the 40th this year and 27+ next year? Sounds like a swindle to me. I just don’t see the benefit for the Pacers unless they greatly value pushing their assets down the line.

It’s not the 27th+ pick. It’s the worst pick of what they got from OKC (Houston, OKC, Utah, LAC). So it could be a pick in the teens-20’s most likely.

Pacers had like 5 picks in this year’s draft. (7, 26, 29, 32, 55). They are basically kicking the can down the road a little bit and will be able to bring in multiple rookies next year, instead of 5 rookies this year, which they don’t have the roster room for.
