So far this primarily affected Jewish scientists, artists and activists in Germany, or who wanted to come / came to Germany. Now it is extended into Israel directly.

It cannot be said enough. These policies are not about protecting Jews or Jewish life and culture, which is highly diverse in many facets. The alleged protection is only extended in so far as people are ideologically in line.

And the most insane thing about it is that this line is not even the protection of Israel as a state, but the protection of the Netanyahu government, with all its worst elements. The current path of continued war crimes / possibly genocide and continued violent escalations against their neighbors is a self destructive path. And the continued support for this by the German government and almost all parties in parliament shows that German politics have learned very little from the history they claim to never want to repeat again.

In a very “Deutschland verrecke!” mood after reading this
