I’m sure the first thing Trump would do is cut federal funding, but he and his goons are already doing that anyway…

Political stunt = protecting Californians
Not political stunt = creating floods with water farmers need for their summer crops
California is lawyering up. I just hope a fight in the courts still means something.
It’s not a stunt if it’s signed into law.
I’m surprised they need to pass laws for this? I figured it would just come out of some sort of discretionary fund.
It’s possible they were able to do that, but this gave them a legal way to do this if providing the support gets challenged.
