The episode was fine - the first half felt kinda empty to be honest, but the second half got some great gags. Glad Kuu got the job.

Overall, I gotta say each individual episode was fun, but the series as a whole left a lot to be desired. The biggest problem was how much setup they wasted. They never used the fusion bug, we never did anything interesting with the rings they wear - or explored the different kinds of rings, we never referenced the energy collecting by the Gendarmerie, there was nothing about Popo’s horns past the original reveal and we still know nothing about Neva and why he is the way he is. All this stuff, yet we had filler-esque episodes till the end.

All hail Supreme Demon King Kuu!

I wonder if the end was a tease or just a gag. Surely this won’t be the last we see of Dragon Ball

No, it definitely wasn’t the last Dragon Ball, but it was the last that Toriyama worked on as far as I know. That makes this ending a bit bittersweet.

I enjoyed this adventure for the most part. It was a bit heavy on the fan service at times, but I appreciated exploring the demon realm since we previously knew almost nothing about it.
