Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a statement Tuesday that his Oval Office meeting last week with US President Donald Trump “did not go the way it was supposed to,” describing it as regrettable and noting that Ukraine is ready to negotiate.

A day after the US cuts military aid, Zelensky is all of a sudden read to negotiate peace and sign the minerals deal.

“None of us wants an endless war,” he added. “Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians. My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to get a peace that lasts.”

“Regarding the agreement on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it in any time and in any convenient format. We see this agreement as a step toward greater security and solid security guarantees, and I truly hope it will work effectively,” he said.

      The reason he was there was to sell off whatever is left of his country to the US, and then he tried to back out at the last moment throwing a tantrum in public. Now the US reminded him that he’s just a puppet by cutting off military aid, and he’s getting back with the program.

    Zelenskyy has the patience of a fucking angel. Still now he can use honest and humble words and work with someone who spat in his face for the benefit of his country.

    Too bad that meeting was a staged attack meant to be used as an excuse to cut off funding. “This is going to make great TV”. They all thought Zelenskyy would be the one to storm off angry. Since it didn’t work, Trump will just “pause” funding until everyone else “forgets” because of the hundreds of heinous acts he’s about to do in the next month.
