Good to know, also nice:
- A feature will be added that allows you to share cards you’re interested in trading for via the in-game trading function.
I just wish we could trade with non-friends.
I don’t want to friend every random person to increase my chances of a trade opportunity. Just let us auction off our cards and let people make offers.
It all sounds good, but why is it going to take them so long to implement? I’m not even sure I’ll still be playing this game next autumn.
Maybe it’s going to be added when the next power creep hits? I don’t follow the TCG that closely but I know they have GX and mega evolution pokemon. Maybe the trading system is being changed to adjust for the added cost of those?
I think GX, EX (uppercase), V, V-star, and maybe more are just the old equivalents of the current ex (lowercase) - a higher power tier for cards. I’m not sure about megas, whether those will replace ex or if they’re going to be a separate category. Guess we won’t know what will be implemented in Pocket for a while.
Right, I’m just guessing at why they’re waiting so long. It only really makes sense to me if they’re planning on other major changes/updates around the same time. Why else would you admit there’s a pain point in the game and not fix it sooner? It doesn’t seem like that major of an update on their end but who knows. Maybe it’s just a tactic to get people to buy more packs in the meantime instead of doing expensive trades.
If it was something that was going away or getting more expensive/harder I could understand giving a longer grace period for players to get it. This one is a head scratcher for me.
I used so much of it already flairing my cards. I kinda feel screwed over for using a mechanic that it was meant for and thinking “well what else am i going to use it for anyway?” Lol ffs
On the plus side, shinedust is so easy to collect, so you’ll rpobably have loads again soon. I also thought shinedust wouldn’t have any other use, but I still couldn’t be bothered flairing any cards
Hopefully they give an exchange rate is some kind like 1 token turns into 10 dust or something
Yeah not a great thing to do after launch. I burned plenty of EX cards for tokens to get some early trading done. I don’t regret it because they were extra and I’ll never use them for anything but some form of trading anyway, but it sucks to lose cards when you don’t have to in future builds…
People spending shinedust are in a similar situation. Maybe we’ll get some kind of “sorry we suck” PR event to make up for it.
