Lol, if you live in a red State, no more buffer of blue States for disaster relief. Florida just got sunk.
Man, the Gulf Coast and South East Coast are fucked if/when a major hurricane comes through. Leopards about to be all over the place.
They did it in an attempt to hurt california, but forgot their shithole places get hit too.
It said “common sense” investments by state and local governments to address risks ranging from wildfires to hurricanes and cyber attacks would enhance national security
Uh huh.
I wonder if they forgot why the federal government has a vested interest in keeping all its states stabilized even during disasters…
Maybe they should consider what would happen if one of their states that has important military assets suddenly shit the bed right when an attack occurred…
If the government wants to store and maintain federal assets on a states property, they inherently now have a vested interest in keeping that state stable in times of disaster.
You really don’t want coms to your nuke launch sites to go down cuz the state didn’t prioritize it during a disaster, that’s a big part of the “point” of FEMA
The federal government should want to go in and be like “yeah let’s keep all our federal shit still functioning even though stuff is flooding”
Which, turns out, simultaneously means keeping normal stuff functional, like supply chains, roads cleared, logistics up, power poles connected, etc…
You have to be very very dumb, or, purposefully sabotaging federal security, to flip this switch to “off”
