Apple was ordered by EU antitrust regulators today to open up its closed ecosystem to rivals, with the latter spelling out details on how to go about it in line with the bloc’s landmark rules and where non-compliance could lead to an investigation and fines.

Wasn’t there also a problem with how these fucks implemented the DMA when it came to allow separate app stores? Other apps still had to go through a procedure with apple to be allowed to be on a separate app store. I’m a little surprised this wasn’t handled. They should be getting bodied for that.
IIRC the process where Apple remains a gatekeeper (because they need to notarise) and still charges a fee is being scrutinised in a separate ongoing process.
