Dude’s casually picking up a 300 lb stone.
Marble is relatively light - that might ‘only’ be 150 lbs or so!
Depending on how violent that stone breaking is gonna be, kinda like sitting on a tree limb you’re currently cutting.
It’s a lovely picture, but I wonder how closely the artist studied actual quarrying techniques from the time period…
And their work conditions where still better than mine. No fumes. There’s still dust, but in an open-space.
