How does it compare to corectrl? Any advantages one needs to know?
I personally like the UI a bit more. Other than that I think not much. Haven’t used CoreCtrl much
I have been using lact for a while now. Its the tool i always wanted, but never had. All the fan curve and over/underclocking controls i could ever wish for.
Does anyone have a tool they can recommend to adjust CPU/case fans? My GPU fan stops completely when I’m not gaming but even just starting a download causes my CPU fan to become quite noisy even @~60*C
Can you change them in your bios? Most have pretty reasonable fan control curves built in.
Just make sure you enable hysteresis so they don’t bounce up and down constantly.

GPU makes sense since it’s a self contained expansion card. But all your CPU and case fans connect into the mobo and they’ve started having (good) built in fan controllers for a good while now and thank god for it.
