I am really interested and looking forward to game, whether I will play it on release is to be seen (mostly due to my lack of a functional gaming system currently).
Despite both Skyrim and Fallout 4 being fairly underwhelming, their games always end up providing more than enough gameplay for the amount I pay. Their games scratch an itch that is just so unique and special.
However, I am hoping that they push more towards the gameplay loop and depth of Morrowind, give me something to sink my teeth into. I am in general very positive towards a science fiction setting in such an expansive universe (and the potential for mods).
right, i’m hoping that it doesn’t just feel big and empty.
The trailer looked great, but I’m hesitant. This game could end up having a bland gameplay loop.
I’m cautiously optimistic, I really liked what I saw but it was admittedly very heavily edited/cut. I’m hoping once they do a proper gameplay demo like they did with skyrim where it’s just 15 minutes of uncut gameplay I’ll be able to really appreciate it. That said the watch for the collectors edition was pretty slick and i’m not even a watch guy.
I have a couple thousand hours in Elite Dangerous and hundreds in No Man’s Sky. I love my space games. This looks like a good mix of the two. I am hopeful and today’s showcasel certainly helped that
I love that you can trade with NPC ships, blow them up and salvage the wreckage, or board them and kill the crew thereby taking control of the ship. I love having options like that.

Given the trends in AAA game releases these days, I think it’s smart to avoid preordering regardless of price point. It might be a good game in principle, but a technical disaster on launch.
