The largest category of theft in America by a far margin. Even crazier when you consider people are murdered by police over property theft while corporate fucks are untouchable.
“According to the Economic Policy Institute, wage theft costs U.S. workers as much as $50 billion per year — a number far higher than all robberies, burglaries and motor vehicle thefts combined.”

They own the means of production and payment. Historically not the best combo.

Or both.
Nah, it’s wage theft. Here’s a decent breakdown
The title sucks.
Both are crimes, one is far, far more significant (as your link describes).
Shoplifting is a crime. But it is a crime done by those who have been systemically abused. In a more just world shoplifting would be so insignificant to anyone that it would be hardly discussed. (Because people’s needs would be better met in a more just world)
Your correct both are crimes. But one is severely under-punished. If they paid and paid enough then we wouldn’t have as much stealing.
Which I covered with the last.half of my comment
If shoplifting were as serious a problem for owners as wage theft is for workers, then the massive disparity of wealth between the two would not be continuing.
