I was, at least at the start of this disastrous game night, your friend.
I hate playing those kind of games. My social anxiety goes through the roof.
I love playing these games. Everyone thinks I am an idiot at poker because I always make stupid bets and give off obvious “tells” in the first few rounds.
People are unbelievably easily manipulated. We were playing a big blind of ten cents and I managed to win twenty dollars in one night.
Yes! The problem is that you cannot do it with the same people multiple times. They will get suspicious very soon
No one realises they’re the fool because they’re too busy laughing at the “fool”!
(guess who said this!)
Other fun games include Secret Hitler and Diplomacy.
Diplomacy especially has glorious backstabs, often from friends you would never suspect.
Just gonna drop the name Blood on the Clocktower for anyone who likes social deduction games and hasn’t heard of it. It’s mafia or werewolf on steroids and it’s so good.
I have a group of friends with whom I play werewolves occasionally. I volunteered to be the forever GM, since I find that I have more fun in the game if I’m the one running it than if I’m in the middle of it.
I love the game Secret Hitler. If you have a group of people that’s really engaged it’s so much fun.
I swear my friends look at me differently after that game. I’m far too good a liar.
Agh, Xkcd still around? Never liked the tone.
Okay? This is a community for people that like xkcd.
Ugh, communities? Who needs that junk, just give me a straight feed algorithmically tailored specifically to extract maximum profit out of my eyeballs!
“Mummy mummy, someone in our echo chamber has a different opinion on our sole source of personality! We’ll all die!!!”
What don’t you like about the tone?
Always thought it’s smug and too nerdy.
