In the spirit of [email protected], here are the reported active ingredients listed in each of the products in the article:
- hydrocolloid patch
- Vaseline
- vitamin E, panthenol, and beta-glucan
- kojic acid, tranexamic acid, azelaic acid, and niacinamide, Centella asiatica, squalane, and glycerin
- zinc oxide
Damn, they missed out on aquaphor.
I’d say Vaseline sort of covers Aquaphor here. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but Aquaphor is basically Vaseline but with some added inactive ingredients.
Aquaphor is mostly petroleum jelly, which is Vaseline, but it has some extra benefits in most cases. For example, while it still provides a protective layer it lets more air through to the wound site which helps healing.
TIL. Thanks!
Yeah, Vaseline is pure petroleum jelly I believe, while Aquaphor includes specifically skin-moisturizing ingredients.
Why so many downvotes?
Don’t worry about it! :)
Good spirit :)
I would assume the downvotes are from people who saw the post from “all”. I’m sure everyone in this community appreciates it!
@Blaze This sent me on a whole bunch of link clicking! I’ve managed to beat my picking habit in the face, but it got taken over by picking my shoulders. Im super lucky that my face never scarred but my shoulders most certainly do…
