How about NWS should start to use lemmy?
NWS has to be where the people are. The weather community has used Twitter for more than a decade to communicate to the weather service. They simply cannot pick up and leave. As much as I like Mastodon and Lemmy, 99.6% of the public have never heard of it.
This is a niche within a niche.
Ideally municipalities should set up their own mastodon instances, no?
