A man accused of physically assaulting a woman at a U.S. research station in Antarctica was then sent to a remote icefield where he was tasked with protecting the safety of a professor and three young graduate students, and he remained there for a full week after a warrant for his arrest was issued, documents obtained by The Associated Press show.

If one of my coworkers was accused of raping one of my other coworkers, I’d expect my boss not to send the accused to the field with others until everything was sorted out. Also make sure the complainant isn’t pressured to return to the field before ready.
Most places get rid of you if you are accused of stealing office supplies.

I don’t know where you work, but they absolutely do. People can be fired for practically anything in the U.S.
