Lumintop Tool AA 2.0

This little light has been wonderful for me for over three years. It’s always in my pocket. I have taken it on multiple thru hikes now. Clips onto my hat very securely. I wear it as a cycle commuting head light. It’s just perfect. And affordable!

I should pick some of these up for gifts, especially since they come in more colors now. Are they dual fuel?

They will run off both a 14500 lithium battery or a standard AA battery. Although the output is much worse with a standard AA.

I always use the lithium ion battery. Amazon has a light and battery combo for 30$ usd.

Yeah, only concern is the tail switch aux light coming on when using 14500 and draining the battery when cell voltage isn’t checked for a while. If you’re gifting to normies, I would pull out the tail switch and put a screwdriver thru those LEDs, or just desolder it, or just tell them to keep it stored with tail cap unscrewed slightly.

Putting the magnetic twist tailcap on made it one of my favorite lights and I carry it every day. Makes it ~10mm shorter too

Had mine for close to the same amount of time maybe. Great little light. My only gripe is that the Amazon listing I bought from made it sound like the lithium battery was included but it was not. It’s still not bad using an AA, lasts forever, in fact, I don’t think I have ever changed batteries.
